About Daily Detour

Daily Detour was created really to solve my own problem.

I found myself refreshing the same websites 20 times a day while at work, searching for something new to read. Don't get me wrong, I like my job a lot! I just wanted something quick, entertaining, and a little different—something that would make me feel good (so it couldn't be social media related!) and five minutes later I could dive back into work.

I'd heard of microadventures, and so I thought why not apply that to the internet. I don't really have time to dive into a long-read online when on a work break, but a 5 minute online microadventure? Absolutely!

That's how the Daily Detour was born!
